German industrial metal giants Rammstein have been given a huge honour by their homeland.

The band's 2001 track Ich Will has been chosen as the official soundtrack for the nation's 2020 Paralympic team.

The official hype video features the Mutter fan favourite playing beneath a series of motivational stories from athletes competing in the 2020 Paralympic games with events, including table tennis, wheelchair basketball, cycling, wheelchair fencing and long-jump depicted.  Watch it now below, because it's frankly inspiring AF!

With the games set to kick off on the 24th of August, Rammstein has also shared a series of seven videos via their official  YouTube channel further incorporating Ich Will into the story and celebrating the extraordinary and inspirational drive of the athletes.

In more good news for Rammstein fans, it appears you won't need to wait another decade for the next Rammstein album!

In an interview with the German site Motor.de, keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz said that once concerts disappeared due to COVID, the band ended up recording an album they hadn't planned on:

“The fact that we couldn’t perform live increased our creativity. We had more time to think of new things and less distraction. As a result, we recorded a record that we hadn’t planned on.”

If this all gets you in the mood to go out and smash a personal best why not do it listening to some more Rammstein?
