Orgy and Cold have announced a joint anniversary tour of Australia. The two bands will team up to hit rooms in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in October.  The tour will act as a combined celebration for the 25th anniversary of Orgy's groundbreaking and revolutionary Candyass and the 20 th anniversary of Cold'Year Of The Spider.

Korn's Jonathan Davis was so excited by ORGY that he created his record label to sign them and fund their debut album. Not to be outdone, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst discovered a very young COLD and threw his considerable weight behind them.

Both Nu Metal giants' intuitions were well vindicated when Orgy's groundbreaking and revolutionary Candyass and Cold's incredible 13 Ways To Bleed and Year Of The Spider albums all became absolute classics of the era, going on to collectively sell five million copies worldwide and putting a few more Platinum and Gold records on the walls of Mr. Davis & Mr. Durst!

Led by charismatic frontman Jay Gordon, Orgy earned a well-deserved reputation as one of alt-rock's most forward-thinking and dynamic bands. With a sound defined by catchy hooks, powerful guitar riffs and throbbing electronic beats, Orgy have cultivated a devoted fanbase and remain a major force thanks to their electrifying live performances and irresistible intensity.

Cold achieved major success with the album 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage and the follow up album Year Of The Spider only picked up the pace spawning smash singles Stupid Girl’and Suffocate. They are renowned for their emotionally charged lyrics and deep connection with their fans, who are dubbed the "Cold Army’’.

The dynamic collaboration of the two highly influential bands will see them perform in Australia for the first time for three unforgettable shows.

Jay Gordon made news recently by speculating that Linkin Park are planning to reunite with an unnamed female singer taking Chester Bennington's place. The source of the rumour is an interview with ordon on Mike Z’s Wired In The Empire for KCAL 96.7.  While discussing his close connection to the Linkin Park crew during their formative stages, Gordon stated "Very, very cool guys and obviously a great band. They’ve been around a long time and they’re still going for it. It’s going to be tough without Chester,  but we’ll see. I hear they got a girl singer now. That’s what I heard.” Gordon somewhat walked back his comments later saying “Don’t quote me on that. I’m not sure who the singer is going to be, but I heard it was gonna be female. They might just try to move on like that. That ought to be interesting".

Given how close Gordon, who took Linkin Park on their first-ever tour has been to Linkin Park at certain stages of their career it would seem at least plausible that he'd have the inside word on any reunion plans.  There has yet to be any formal response from the Linkin Park camp regarding Gordon's comments.  You can watch the interview below.
