Watch Metallica Stage-Crash Slipknot During 'Spit It Out' in 2004

Metallica and Slipknot are set to be touring together in Australia/NZ throughout October and November, but it won't be the first time both bands have played together; the two crossed paths back in 2004 when Slipknot opened for Metallica on the second leg of their European tour as well.

During the final show of said leg, Metallica surprised everyone by donning their own masks and running on stage to do some ridiculous dances while Slipknot played 'Spit It Out' to a stadium full of people!

There's a pretty old clip from the archives you can see below, with the stage-crashing occurring towards the end of the video, although you can also see Kirk Hammett talk about masks with Slipknot's DJ Sid Wilson, and Corey Taylor talk about the tour as well:
