Melbourne's King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are one of the most hard-working and diverse bands out there; they released five albums in 2017 alone (seriously), and have already put out another one called Fishing For Fishies in April of this year. They've also written some pretty progressive songs with jazz, soul and psych rock elements to name just a few.
Now it's metal's turn to get a go; their new single called 'Self-Immolate' is a straight up thrash track, complete with James Hetfield-esque vocals, galloping riffs, soloing and even double kicks!
Granted, it still has that fuzzy lo-fi production found on their earlier works, but it's pretty damn good for a band who don't typically release this kind of stuff. Also, it's only been a month since their last album came out, but 'Self-Immolate' is a part of their next release. Unreal output! Check out the official video below:
